Welcome! Bienvenue!
I banged a little dent in the intertubes and have built a little nest here.
I am a Millenial who loves the basics: reading, writing, and arithmetic. My Bachelor’s degree is in Computer Science and I minored in Political Science. I’ve been programming since I was a child (computers read, too, and need a steady diet of software!) but at any given moment, you’re likely to find me reading something, whether it be the back of a shampoo bottle while showering or the final book in the Dune series while burning my food cooking.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Affairs. My principal interest is education policy, although I am also interested in technology and international trade policy. In my spare time, I enjoy writing and am an editor for the LBJ Journal of Public Affairs. Somehow, I make time to pursue other activities. La vie, c’est si bon!
This blog is but a limited peek past my firewall. You can expect me to write on the following topics:
Reading
Under this banner I’ll post on passages I love in books I’ve read or am reading. Poetry will also be posted under this tag.
Writing
Words, words, words and more words! I write everywhere: a scribble here at the traffic light when inspired by the name of a street and a scribble there when I’m in the checkout line and a thought pops into my head. Writing is something I’ve always enjoyed. Oh, wait — isn’t writing supposed to be torturous?
Arithmetic
What’s not to like about math? In these posts you can expect some musings on everyday life, but from an analytical perspective. These posts will probably be computer or economics related.
